June 12, 2011 - Multi-Sport Day...

Temira's forecast was for wind late in the day, but it clouded up and didn't happen.

We started at the Dog River Coffee shop as usual and then Bett's for breakfast.

After the usual tour of the shops, everyone went back to the house.

Andreas and Ross headed to the coast to surf.  The swell is supposed to build to 11 feet by Tuesday.  We will see them again sometime later in the week... maybe ... they promise to send pictures...

Blaine, Brad, Big Jim, Mike, Big Air Jim and Harold went golfing.  Brad says golfing was awesome - Blaine said it was awful.  We were going to scan in the golf card so you could all see it, but apparently it is all lies anyway....  Of note - not a single beverage was consumed on the course ... wtf...

Cam and Handre at the lookout!

Cam and Handre went biking to Moiser, and stopped for the famous Moiser ice cream on the way back!

Kent went for a mountain bike ride, and I went for a tour of the water front, checked out a new park and launch west of the event site, and watched Bruce Peterson blow away the competition in a slalom race.  In the very light wind, he was the only one of a group of 50 or so sailers that was able to consistently get on a plane.  He was miles ahead on his Roberts board and 9.5m sail.  Most of the others didn't even finish the race.  He was  very pleased  with himself when I talked to him after the race.

I also toured the shops, and may have bought a board... (don't tell Louise)... Hope to try it out in the next couple of days.  It was a really good deal.... really...
